Sheru Lion Cub Pencil Topper in Pure Silver Plating

Sheru is a lion cub that sits on the end of a pencil, paws planted, head turned, mane combed into separate locks.

He starts as high-grade brass, is plated in pure silver, and then the recesses of the mane are darkened by hand so the detail reads at 3.5 cm tall. Jaipur karigars file and fit each one to its collar.

Is it real silver? It is pure silver plating over a high-grade brass base, not solid silver. The brass is why a piece this small weighs 13 g. If the bright surfaces darken over time, as pure silver does, a soft silver polishing cloth restores them. Go lightly on the mane, where the darker shade is part of the design.

Does it come with a pencil? Yes. Sheru arrives fitted on a pencil, ready to write with.
